Singles! Salem Wolves, “Breaking Grounds”

Seems like we were just waxing poetic about Salem Wolves and a new single recently and now they’re back at it again?!?! That’s right! One of your most favorite Boston Rawk outfits is amping up the release of their forthcoming EP with another taste in the form of one of their most diverse tracks to date entitled “Breaking Grounds”.

Piloting this rad sonic swerve, Salem Wolves’ vocalist/guitarist Gray Bouchard takes fans on an adventure unlike anything Salem Wolves have laid down to date. By no means are we an expert on all things Salem Wolves but having covered them over some time now it’s safe to say on our part that we’ve NEVER heard a track from the Boston quartet that’s sounded quite like “Breaking Grounds”

More at home on the Return Of The Living Dead soundtrack than on one of Deathkiss Radio’s scorching comps, “Breaking Grounds” is kinda Psychobilly and kinda Punk that’s barely contained under a Rawk shell. It’s haunting and harrowing with the way that Don Schweihofer and Justin Tisdale’s drum and bass delivery brings about an eerie atmosphere yet still manages to retain those raucous bones synonymous with the Salem Wolves sound especially when Bouchard and Sam Valliere’s guitars scream amidst some legit howls in the background to add to the aesthetic.

“Breaking Grounds” is out on March 2nd and you can hear it as soon as it drops by following them here, here, and here. For the latest from Salem Wolves, including info on the Hostile Music EP release and upcoming live shows, follow them across the information superhighway when you head here, here, or here.
