Singles! Wyn & the White Light, “White Noise”

Feeling that post-Spooky SZN blues pretty hard right now??? Well, how about some fresh Blues-filled tuneage that practically lives within the most wonderful time of the year 24/7 to ease you out of your funk with some haunting and howling sounds guaranteed to make all the witches, warlocks, ghouls, and goblins come out for one last hoedown.

When it comes down to it, there’s not really a lot that sounds ANYTHING like what Wyn & the White Light is laying down right now. Especially in the New England scene. Hot on the heels of last month’s “Heal Me” and September’s debut single “How the West Was Won”, “Pomegranate-infused Haunted-soul-rock” trio Wyn & the White Light unveils “White Noise” to add another layer of musical mystique before their debut full-length, Luck, eventually arrives.

Marcus King going through a Goth phase comes to mind when listening through “White Noise” at first but what vocalist/guitarist Wyn Doran evokes with her powerful range going from a banshee’s wail to a more Blues-infused baritone within bars quickly quells any comparisons to what else is out in the ether. Amidst a constant thumping from drummer Heidi Tierney as bassist Lucia Jean rumbles with aplomb, “White Noise” emits this kind of electric energy that pulsates through everything recorded in such a way that when the full band kicks in you can actually hear the snares vibrating with repeated guitar refrains that hypnotize and entice.

Also of note, Wyn & the White Light teamed with Barewolf Brewing out of Amesbury for a special IPA inspired by the new track. Yes, kids. You can drink White Noise IPA while listening to “White Noise”. Even better than that? You can celebrate both the new single and libations when Wyn & the White Light play Barewolf for a special release party on 11/11 at 7PM!
