“What if Weezer wrote a song about the IRA?” is the question that The Roland High Life posit at you, dear readers, when presenting their upcoming new single “Oh Dolours” and all we can say in response is “Oh, The Roland High Life!” in that comedic end of a sitcom punchline kind of way with a shit eating grin proudly on our face because while we never pondered that particular scenario we can’t deny that the track is catchy AF and clever to boot.
That said, “Oh Dolours” is pretty spectacular. A big, broad Rawk opus featuring fellow Bostonnites Indoor Friends, “Oh Dolours” does share some of that Blue Album Weezer magic but put through a Boston blender and is indeed an ode to Dolours Price, a volunteer in the Irish Republican Army and radical feminist so sit right back and you’ll hear a tale from Thom Dunn, Nick Krefting, Chris Correia, Jake WM, and Walker Dieckmann as they imbue some knowledge on y’all with some friends in, ahem, Indoor Friends just in time for St. Patty’s Day!
