Follow-up’s can be a tricky thing. There’s a need to maintain a certain status quo so that any new fans you gained from the last release stay the course but also there’s a need to diversify and show range because who wants the same thing over and over, right? Sara Abdelbarry as Teen Idle goes for a nice mix of splitting it down the middle with new single “Norway” ahead of debut full-length Nonfiction which is coming your way soon!
Building off the foundation that “Birthday Cake” built, “Norway” still has that rich, Indie Rawk feel but expands greatly into some spacious new territory with a vibrant soundscape and a lushly layered vocal harmony from Abdelbarry at its’ core. Once again accompanied by Samir Tawalare on drums (Who handles live drumming on the rest of Nonfiction with Abdelbarry taking care of vocals and the rest of the instrumentation), “Norway” is essentially effervescent and just some mandatory music that your earholes need to hear ahead of Nonfiction.
“Norway” lands on August 4th through H1 Massive and can be pre-saved and all that jazz by heading here. For more from Teen Idle, including all the latest info on Nonfiction, follow the trail of socials by clicking here, here, or here.
