Singles! Private Jetlag, “Apres Ski”

Private Jetlag is not our typical bag. At all. Then again, not much around these parts is “typical” so why should we be surprised when a smooth jam like “Apres Ski” falls into our lap and makes our heart skip a beat with its’ rich grooves and solid beats.

Private Jetlag tread a fine line between The Time and Dan Hartman-style nostalgia and the modern funk of Boston’s own Bad Rabbits and, according to their bio, also have hints of Christopher Cross, Dr Dre, Hall & Oates, and Snoop Dogg in there as well. Confused yet? Trust us, it’ll all make sense once you sit back and let the combined keys of The 4tunetellah and Franco Bombastico take hold. Top that with The 4tunetellah’s silky vox and a sick video paying homage to ’80’s ski culture and you should consider yourself enticed and intrigued by the fun(ky) world of Private Jetlag.

Regardless of the comparisons, cool, calm, and collected is the name of the game when it comes to Private Jetlag and on their debut single from Cool Thing Records they just ooze all those descriptors and then some and we very much think you should take a listen.

“Apres Ski” is out on October 4th thanks to Cool Thing Records. You can check this space here to grab a copy digitally and for more on Private Jetlag, follow them on the social media pages here.
