Singles! Practice, “I Saw Love”

Practice is such and unique blend of indescribable sonic delights. Formed by We Are Scientists, Spill Gold, and Bishop Allen’s former drummer Michael Tapper, Practice hearkens back to a time when music was just fun and with recent single “I Saw Love” (Taken from the forthcoming full-length due in early 2021), explores and encapsulates that aesthetic to give listeners this this pure, raw thing that’s jovial, jubilant, and genuine.

With hints of LCD Soundsystem (Especially the 2005 self-titled full-length), “I Saw Love” is a hypnotic Electro blast that builds and builds into an aural explosion as it adds more and more layers with each passing bar while positing whether listeners should dance, head bob, shimmy, shake, or some riff off of any of that. What I’m ultimately saying, though, is “I Saw Love” will definitely cause you to move in some way, shape, or form.

Then there’s the video which is the most perfect representation of what’s playing through your speakers. Like the rest of Tapper’s DIY direction with Practice (Handling songwriting, arranging, producing, recording, mixing, and videomaking himself), the video treatment for “I Saw Love” is a uniquely pleasing ocular adventure filmed pre-COVID but with an isolated post-COVID feel.

“I Saw Love” is out now through all your favorite digital music providers which you can conveniently find all of now by heading here. Not A Game lands on February 19th, stay tuned to this space here for all the pre-order deets and, of course, to our page for the review!
