Singles! Jennifer Tefft & The Strange, “Going Out”

Original artwork by Stephen “Sharky” Beccia, Graphic design by Annika Swalley and Jennifer Tefft

From the moment we heard “Caffeine”, we were intrigued by the type of Rawk that Jennifer Tefft & The Strange were bringing to our ears. Timeless but tantamount to the ’90’s in a grand way at times, Tefft and company create a sound that’s both cathartic and crushing for a new Alternative that continues on latest release “Going Out”.

Amidst a thumping rumble from Chris Georgenes and Stephen “Sharky” Beccia’s respective drumming and bass playing with John Parrillo’s lead and Jennifer Tefft’s rhythm guitars wholly in sync to form a throttling wall of sound that plows through the air like a bulldozer, “Going Out” is already a different animal than its’ predecessor. And you know those songs that are seemingly all chorus because of the way every note sung is so impactful? Yeah, that’s “Going Out” as well with the way that Tefft’s soulful voice commands the mic to elevate the all around Rawk and infuse a little Blues into the mix (Think Alannah Myles to touch back on that ’90’s arc).

“Going Out” arrives through Rock Garden Records on April 12th ahead of a new album entitled Strange Beginnings due on May 17th. For now, you can get your pre-save on and all that jazz regarding “Going Out” when you head here. Want more from Jennifer Tefft & The Strange?
