We’ve been wanting to write about Boston’s Hammered Saint for some time now and couldn’t pass up this perfect storm of timing with a recently released single dropping just as we’re revving up our coverage for the last Bandcamp Friday of 2023!
If you’ve seen their incendiary live performances then, chances are, you’ve had an opportunity to experience “Steal The Show” in all its’ fiery on stage glory but if you haven’t then we think that the song is a fitting intro into the wild world of these veteran Rawk bringers. Much like “Dirty Work” (Also available to purchase/stream on Bandcamp), “Steal The Show” is a charged anthem led by Curt Florczak’s raucous riffs with Andy Excuse’s rambunctious rumblings on the bass preceding the fierce fervor. Then there’s Mark Enet’s pouncing pounding on the drums that accents every one of Emily Doran’s passionately pointed barks leading into an absolutely awesome gang vox-driven call and response-style chorus. Modern Punk Rawk never sounded so good!
