Singles! Fit For Rivals + GRLwood, “Bad Bitch Supreme”

Is the upcoming collaboration between Jacksonville’s Fit For Rivals and Louisville’s GRLwood a match made in heaven or hell? Who knows! What we do know is that it works. And rawks. A lot! Take the incendiary Rawk outfit Fit For Rivals and team them up with GRLwood’s brash brand of Indie meets Lo-Fi Alternative and it’s a recipe for a raucous, riotous good time.

Separately, neither GRLwood or Fit For Rivals should be ignored but together they’re unstoppable and a ferocious femme force not to be trifled with so much so that when lines like “I’m gonna kick your ass into oblivion” arrive during “Bad Bitch Supreme”, you believe it! A static guitar line that’s a cross between AC/DC and Devo starts us off with the first bout of Jekyll & Hyde vocal cues as Rej Forester of GRLwood adds a sort of glistening glee throughout while FFR’s Renee Phoenix enters with a Joan Jett snarl at first that builds into a full on vocal explosion during the louder moments (Of which there are many). Speaking of those “louder moments”, during the new single fans will also get to experience the Dorman Pantfoeder and Mia Morris double drum showdown as well as Phoenix, Rufino Lomboy, and Thomas Mason’s triple axe attack for a fiery yet fun foray into what makes Rawk so great.

“Bad Bitch Supreme” is out now through Freak Machine Records and can be streamed at all your most favorite streaming services which are all conveniently located together right here. For more from GRLwood, head here and for the latest from Fit For Rivals, head here.
