Singles! Fatigue, “Quiet Desolation”

“A song equally about BDSM, willful ignorance, and gleeful submission to an oppressive system.”

Hot on the heels of their self-titled EP released in January (Which we reviewed here), Lowell’s own Fatigue present a new slab of synthetic sustenance with some pretty heavy subject matter (As you can see by the quote from Fatigue above) disguised within a bouncy Darkwave ditty.

On “Quiet Desolation”, Fatigue take a different approach to their craft on a track that is slightly less ominous sonically and pounces like Duran Duran meeting New Order for the first time in a New Wave/Electro lovefest in the way programmed beats and synths playfully intertwine and bounce. Originally intended to be included on their upcoming full-length, “Quiet Desolation” on its’ own is a revelatory track that should equally entice and excite listeners as to what’s on the horizon from their favorite local Darkwave/Electro outfit.
