Singles! blindspot, “All I Had To Give”

How can listening to Boston’s blindspot not put a smile on your face? Soaked in the nostalgia of classic Alternative (They recently opened for Alanis!) yet anchored in the present, blindspot truly are the purveyors of all the sonic warm and fuzzies with a feel good sound that just epitomizes fun.

But enough waxing poetic about the band because there’s new music to swoon over!

It’s been some time since we’ve heard from Alexa Economou and Chris Cormier (Our last post was for “Upside Down” in late 2019) but slowly we’re all collectively thawing out. Shows are happening and new music, which has been a constant throughout the pandemic, is even more prolific and permeating to constantly bombard yer earholes with the aural goods. And the goods is exactly what blindspot’s latest single, “All I Had To Give”, embodies.

A live staple yet to be put to tape until now, “All I Had To Give” finds the duo delivering a driving anthem reminiscent of Tom Petty’s “American Girl” with piano and bass lines bouncing off each other coupled with bombastic beats and some particularly rambunctious riffage leading into a huge chorus and Economou’s delicate delivery embracing enormous arena-ready sensibilities.

“All I Had To Give” is the first taste of a two-song release dropping in early 2022 (With an album following later in the year) and arrives on December 10th.
