Modern Garage Rawk at its’, finest, Boston’s Answerman is delivering the goods with new single “Black Heart”, the latest taste off their upcoming debut full-length Black Light Poster which arrives later in April.
Exploding from a burgeoning buzz, all of the “Black Heart” bravado blissfully melts away to form this concise modern Psych Rawk classic that’s kind of a throwback but also kinda not and all around kinda timeless. It’s like The Hollies and Caesars collided and formed the most wonderfully rad supergroup, set up camp in Boston, had a powwow with Jonathan Richman, and then produced the gnarly noise you have awaiting to invade yer earholes. Walt Enright and Chris Orcutt’s respective bass and drum rumblings are simply shagadelic with Sam Pitino and Tom Murphy’s dual guitar onslaught ripping it up effortlessly as Pitino’s voice offers an Indie-tinged invocation that’s both eloquent and excellent to top off your new favorite track… that is, until the full-length drops.
“Black Heart” arrives on March 10th ahead of Answerman’s debut full-length, Black Light Poster, on April 22nd. Pre-save/pre-order the new single now when you head here and for the latest from Answerman, follow them across ye olde social media pages by clicking here, or here.
