Singles! ÆGES, “Colors”

Coming at listeners like a sonic 18 wheeler barreling full speed towards a brick wall, ÆGES’ latest single is a promising taste of what’s to come from the Los Angeles-based quartet. Fresh off last year’s DrØmmen record (Which we reviewed here), ÆGES return with a massive pummeler that’s like Mastodon doing Arena Rawk and just what we needed to hear at this very moment in time.

“Colors” is just a fireball of a track from the start that’s hearty and heavy with yet another anthemic chorus that just pops! Kemble Walters does a fantastic job treading the line between vocals that are crushing and cathartic while bassist Tony Baumeister gets to flex some Prog chops when the low end gets prominently featured before combining with drummer Dylan Howard’s rollicking ruckus and Dylan Howard and Walters’ guitar attack for a cataclysmic conclusion that highlights the ÆGES evolution incorporating these delicate intricacies worked into the overall crunch which is a far cry from the straight sonic thunder brought on debut single “Wrong”.

“Colors” is out on April 23rd. You can get your pre-save/pre-order on now when you click here or here. For the latest on Aeges, follow them on their socials by heading here, here, or here.
