And we’re back at it again breaking down who you’ll be witnessing and rooting for on the second night of the Rock And Roll Rumble comeback tour. We already tackled the first four artists but if you want the complete collection then head here to read the grand intro. As for Night 2 which happens on April 7th at Middle East Upstairs, you’re in for the following:
Paper Tigers (9PM EST): Kicking off Night 2 in style, Paper Tigers’ brand of new fangled groove-driven eclectic Rawk is sure to energize anyone in for the long haul of Rock And Roll Rumble performances (Read: “Full Boat” pass holders). With a slew of self-released EP’s already under their collective belts since forming in 2019, Paper Tigers bring their big stage energy as experienced at 2022’s Boston Calling (And later in August at the 2nd Annual In Between Days Festival in Quincy with tix already available here) to the small stage Upstairs at the Middle East. Get the rest of your Paper Tigers fix by visiting the pertinent links all conveniently included here.
Gretchen Shae & The Middle Eight (945PM EST): If you’re yearning for some music with a little more heft at this year’s Rumble then look no further than Gretchen Shae & The Middle Eight! Do the kids still use the phrase “God tier”? If yes then the term should definitely be applied to the gnarly noise that’s kinda Post-Punk, kinda Goth, kinda Social Distortion meets the Return Of The Living Dead soundtrack, and all around kinda unforgettable. Get better acquainted ahead of their Night 2 appearance by heading here.
Not Bad Not Well (1030PM EST): Oh hello, Worcester! Hailing from the county that we grew up in, Not Bad Not Well is the new kid on the block with just one single (The Radiohead meets Silversun Pickups banger “Sleeper”) available for fans to glom onto ahead of their Rumble appearance. But the real question remains: Will they only play that one single over and over on Night 2??? The only way to find out is to get your tix now and be there to find out in person on April7th! Catch up on that aforementioned tune and more when you head here.
Bleach The Sky (1115PM EST): An anthem maker if ever there was such a thing, Bleach The Sky have honed in on an Alt-Rawk sound that makes each one of their songs absolutely timeless. Filled with soaring guitar passages, broad vocal lines, and , maybe Bleach The Sky’s secret weapon to closing out the night’s festivities and ruling Night 2, choruses that’ll stay with listeners long after they’ve stopped. Catch up on all things BTS now by heading here.
And that concludes our preview of Night 2 of the 2023 edition of the Rock And Rumble which takes place at Middle East Upstairs in Cambridge on Friday, April 7th.
