Kingshot Deliver A Cohesive Multi-Genre Experience On Latest

A bit of an outlier simply because no one in the area is really doing this type of music right now, Boston’s Kingshot excel with their latest which is a grand collection of sonic gems that encompass a range of eras under one cohesive banner of Alternative Hard Rawk.

Amidst a gnarly crunch of guitars, Charlie Costa’s soaring voice pierces the vibrant veil of “Hold Tight” to start the first of many an anthem to grace Kingshot’s latest. “Is It Within?” follows with a timeless sound tantamount to many an Alternative radio-ready jam of the ’90’s with Eric Ortiz’s bass and Nick Brozek’s drums in particular striking a particularly punchy chord. “I’ll Find You” has a nice dichotomy between Costa and Rich Silva’s guitar tones with Costa delivering lines with a cadence and bounce similar to some of your favorite Pop Punk outfits across Vans Warped Tour stages back in the day while “Sunrise Comes” arrives next with a barrage of guitar, bass, and drum magic to start before transitioning into a modern Pop Punk classic.

“Lost and the Savior” is an interesting one with a lot more in common with some of the Alternative/Grunge heavyweights of the ’90’s than Kingshot’s modern peers as Costa croons and guitars wail, wistfully flowing into a wondrous chorus. “Ever Distant” is a rhythm section showcase for Brozek and Ortiz with Silva and Costa’s guitars acting as a rhythmic backbone with some sick soloing thrown in because why not? Then we get to “The End of a Titan” which is a downtrodden lumbering beast that really encapsulates the height of Grunge and the heavier underbelly with the real “end” coming next as “Ebb and Flow” presents a shining light to go out on that’s as much in the Indie Alternative vein as it is the straight up Rawk one.

Kingshot is out now and available to stream and purchase through all your most favorite streaming outlets which you can find by heading here. For more from Kingshot, follow them across ye olde socials by clicking here or here.
