Dynamic Duo Deliver The Doom Rawk You Need As Hoaxed Drop Two Shadows

Hailing from the gloomy Northwest (Portland, Oregon to be exact), Hoaxed’s brand of captivating ethereal Doom Rawk is soon to be your new favorite thing with a sound that’s also sure to be a Spooky Season staple as well.

The title track is barely a glimpse into the world of Two Shadows but bolsters some huge sounds within its’ minute and change bravado before “The Call” gets the, ahem, call and ramps it all up with this daring Doomy Witchy wonder that’s mystical and metallic leading towards a grand chorus that gargantuanly glistens. “The Knowing” is similarly strong with Kim Coffel laying out a subtle rumble behind the kit while Kate Keo’s haunting guitar lines match her haunting vocal delivery.

“For Love” begins all bass heavy then transforms into an effervescent beast that buzzes with energy with “Grand Illusions” diving back into a more straightforward Rawk setting albeit with Keo’s spectral voice dousing a ghostly gloss over all. That shadowy sheen permeates into the rollicking “High Seas” while “Guilty Ones” is built around a steady Keo guitar drone and a massive wall of synth-laden spirits as Coffel advances the proceedings by intricately threading that percussive needle throughout the dense sonic tapestry that Hoaxed weaves here.

“Where Good Won’t Go” is a gnarly dirge spewing from a primal place before settling into a more serene stream of sounds that lays the foundation for “Forsaken” which ups the tempo for a rousing finish to Two Shadows from your new favorite dynamic duo!

Two Shadows drops on October 28th through Relapse Records and you can pre-order or pre-save yours now by heading here. For the latest from Hoaxed, follow them across the information superhighway by clicking here or here.
