BillyBio Share New Single, Bob Marley Cover On Freedom’s Never Free

It’s weird because when I was growing up and Biohazard was in their prime, I could care less. But as I get older I find myself leaning to the heaver side of things and revisiting lots of missed gems from back in the (Read: my) day. And lucky for me, and you, that artists like Biohazard’s Billy Graziadei are still out there making music just as visceral and enticing as they did back then.

But I digress.

Hot on the heels of last year’s Feed The Fire full-length, Graziadei is back as BillyBio with the fitting Freedom’s Never Free EP featuring the title track, a Bob Marley cover, and demo versions of the title track and “Feed The Fire”. Short and sweet, Graziadei-style. And speaking of Graziadei-style, the cover of Marley’s “Get Up, Stand Up” could’ve been downright silly if it was any other artist covering it but under BillyBio’s watchful eye the track becomes an incendiary call to arms which is even more relevant today than it was when originally released.

As for the other tracks, “Freedom’s Never Free” is as much a powerhouse here as it was on Feed The Fire with Graziadei’s brand of modern Hardcore taking the genre in a new direction while respecting the past. The demos presented here give just a taste of the process to bring these songs to their final, fully realized versions and a good incentive to go check out those versions and that last full-length ASAP.

Freedom’s Never Free drops on May 10th through Bridge Nine. Get your own copy here and stay tuned here for more from BillyBio, including upcoming tour dates.
