There are some artists you trust implicitly because of the solid body of work they’ve produced. So much so that when a member of said band, Hank & Cupcakes in this case, suggests you pay attention to a fellow artist then you do it with no questions. And then you’re glad that you did.
Which brings us to Nashville trio BF/GF who is poised to be a veritable force to be reckoned within the music world really soon.
On their latest single, “Deranged”, the group comes across as Siouxsie & The Banshees mixed with The Black Keys with these smooth ’80’s-inspired synth lines and Eric Serra-esque piano flourishes giving the track an even more epic scope. Meanwhile, Vocalist Hailey Collier delivers these impassioned, breathy vocals which trade off nicely with Cannon Kinnard’s more deadpan passages until ultimately combining and climaxing together in a magnificent chorus.
